<p>joining a health club <a title="To Lose Weight Fast" href="http://www.wikihow.com/Lose-Weight-Fast" target="_blank">to lose weight fast</a>, but you&#8217;ve heard too many stories about people who sign up, go one or two times, and never go back. You&#8217;re not really sure which type of club to join <a title="To Lose Weight Fast" href="http://www.harryjohnsonjr.com/to-lose-weight-fast/to-lose-weight-fast-you-cant-get-tired/" target="_blank">to lose weight fast</a>: a low-cost chain, a more expensive, exclusive fitness center, or a club that caters to only women or men. Buying and maintaining a health club membership can be pretty complicated, but if you follow these 10 tips, you&#8217;ll save money and be on your way to greater fitness.</p>
<p>1. Make a list of your specific fitness needs and wants. Will you be comfortable working out in a large club with both men and women? Will you need access to more than one club? Are you looking for one-on-one personal training services? How often do you think you&#8217;ll work out each month? Do you think you&#8217;ll be able to keep up your fitness regimen? How much can you afford to pay for a membership each month?</p>
<p>2. Once you&#8217;ve identified your requirements and visited health clubs that meet your needs. Get a free pass for each club (at least a one-week&#8217;s pass) and workout at each club as often as possible during the free periods. Compare nd contrast the pros and cons of each location.</p>
<p>3. Don&#8217;t sign up for a membership at any of the health clubs while you&#8217;re using free passes. You&#8217;ll be under a lot of pressure from salespeople and managers, and they will tell you that you need to sign up today in order to get discount pricing. Don&#8217;t. Health clubs offer discount pricing all the time. Take advantage of your free week and weigh your options.</p>
<p>4. When you&#8217;ve decided on a particular health club, go back and speak with a salesperson about membership choices. Don&#8217;t feel pressured to sign a long-term contract anywhere. Remember that long-term contracts are really installment loans with high interest payments. If you don&#8217;t think that you&#8217;re going to keep up your workouts, don&#8217;t even think about signing one of these contracts. Gather all of the written information about each type of membership, then go home and review it at your leisure. Don&#8217;t feel pressured to sign up for any membership at the club.</p>
<p>5. When you&#8217;re speaking with the salesperson, ask all of the questions you want. Don&#8217;t feel rushed or pressured. Never forget that any contract you sign supersedes any promises a salesperson gives you. Even if the salesperson writes it into the contract, it probably isn&#8217;t legally enforceable. The contract is king. Read it carefully before signing.</p>
<p>6. Compare the costs of each membership type, and remember that you should make the ultimate decision based on your own needs, not on short-term discounts that may sound like you&#8217;re saving money, but will end up costing you more money in the end.</p>
<p>7. Make sure you fully understand the cancellation requirements of each membership type. Many long-term health club contracts are almost impossible to cancel. A month-to-month contract may be a better solution even if it is a few more dollars per month.</p>
<p>8. Don&#8217;t sign up for automatic payments via credit card. If you no longer want a membership, and you&#8217;re able to cancel, you may find it difficult to get payments stopped.</p>
<p>9. Keep track of all your payments in case there are any disputes with your health club.</p>
<p>10. If you do cancel you membership, make sure you get the cancellation in writing from your health club. If this does happen, DON&#8217;T STOP EXERCISING. Keep your promise to yourself to become a healthier, more active person. Find an alternative health club or exercise option.</p>
<p>By following these 10 tips,and laying out a plan for yourself, you will drastically improve your chances of fitness success. Also remember that diet and nutrition play a huge role in terms of how successful you will be!</p>

<p>That toll evinces itself in several ways: poor memory, lack of energy, moodiness, a weakened immune system, and perhaps the one you&#8217;re most concerned about, it makes it harder <a title="to lose weight fast" href="http://www.harryjohnsonjr.com/to-lose-weight-fast/why-do-increased-calcium-intakes-help-us-lose-weight-fast/" target="_self">to lose weight fast</a>.</p>
<p>Getting less sleep than you need changes the hormonal balance within your body. You start to secrete hormones that promote fat storage, not fat burn, and your ability <a title="to lose weight fast" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeoUwZqBHRg" target="_blank">to lose weight fast</a> goes right out the window.</p>
<p>Even though research proves it, I like to confirm everything I read in the &#8220;real-world&#8221;. Every time I&#8217;ve tested the &#8216;&#8217;sleep equation&#8221; it comes up the same:  the more sleep-deprived you are, the harder it is to lose fat and gain lean muscle.  On the other hand, when you do get enough sleep, fat loss and muscle gain seem to come quicker and easier. Works every time.</p>
<p>Try for just one week to make it a priority to get at least 8 hours of sleep per night.  At the end of the week,  let me know what your results were.</p>

<p>I personally believe if they had enhanced the study they would have found that participants that were not so hungry would <em>not </em>have had the same response. How do you reduce hunger? The answer leads to the next trigger:</p>
<h4>LACK OF FIBER</h4>
<p>Low-fiber diets typically provide a lot of fat and calories but few nutrients.<br />
Such diets also lack bulk, which means you need to eat more to feel full.</p>
<p>High-fiber foods are filling, nutritionally dense and relatively low in fat and<br />
refined sugar. High-fiber foods also help stabilize blood glucose and insulin levels.</p>

<p>Make sure to take in at least 25 grams of fiber in your daily diet. Good sources include vegetables, legumes, fruit, and hearty salads like kale and collards.</p>
<h4>INSUFFICIENT CALORIES</h4>
<p>When you limit calories for an extended time, your body starts to pilfer protein from lean body tissue, destroying the muscle mass necessary to burn fat and calories. You also begin to manufacture an overabundance of &#8220;lipoprotein lipase&#8221;, an enzyme that stores fat in your cells.</p>

<p>You may drop pounds on an extremely low calorie diet. But once you resume eating normally, your body will convert what it now perceives as excess calories into fat.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t eat less than 1,000 calories per day. And make sure your total calories are divided into many small meals throughout the day.</p>
<p><strong>FINALLY</strong>, <span id="more-1833"></span>make sure you regularly add in some high calorie days as well to keep your metabolism high and to prevent your body from dropping into a &#8220;starvation&#8221; mode of a lower calorie burn.</p>
<h4>DIET FOODS</h4>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">You may assume that you can eat more if foods are labeled &#8220;low-fat&#8221; or &#8220;lite.&#8221;</span> <strong>Wrong</strong>. Despite the catchy labeling, these foods can be packed with sugar and calories. &#8220;Sugar-free&#8221; products may contain aspartame or saccharin; sweeter-than-sugar substitutes that can provoke a sweet tooth.</p>
<p>Make sure you read the nutrition and ingredient labels. Avoid foods that contain lots of sugar and fat. These two in combination promote fast fat storage.</p>
<h4>SALT AND FLAVOR ENHANCERS</h4>
<p>Scientists are not sure why salt triggers compulsive eating. It may trigger<br />
hormonal changes that amplify hunger, or we may eat more of the foods we find flavorful (keep this in mind when you&#8217;re looking to improve the taste of foods you eat &#8212; it could cause impressive fat storage).</p>
<p>Even worse than salt (which I don&#8217;t consider bad in moderation), food manufacturers can choose from more than 2,000 flavor enhancers to make packaged snacks and meals irresistible. But many of these ingredients, such as monosodium glutamate and ammonium carbonate, may cause you to not only eat more, but also to store more of what you do eat as fat.</p>
<p>The reason is they are potent fat storage &#8220;nutrient partitioners&#8221;. This means these flavor enhancers increase the percentage of fat your body normally stores when you eat.</p>
<p>Make sure you avoid foods with artificial flavor-boosters. Use lemon, herbs, apple cider vinegar and no-salt substitutes.</p>
<h4>THIRST</h4>
<p>People frequently confuse thirst for hunger. What&#8217;s more, we neglect to count the calories we drink. For example, most 12-ounce sodas contain 150 calories. Even fruit juices are loaded with sugar and calories.</p>

<h4>NOT ENOUGH SLEEP</h4>
<p>Sleep-deprived people may increase their daily calorie consumption by as much as 15%, according to research conducted at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.</p>
<p>Strive for eight hours of sleep a night.</p>

A new study shows that <strong>calcium may help prevent fat formation and aid in weight (fat) loss</strong>.</p>
<p>Based on earlier research that found obese men lost fat quickly on high calcium diets, a controlled study examined the impact of calcium intake and fat loss in mice. The research seems to show that high calcium intake may be a good idea for those interested in losing fat and keeping it off. In fact, <strong>calcium shows surprising slimming power</strong>, perhaps by stimulating hormones that govern the storage of fat into fat cells.</p>
<p>Hang Shi, a postdoctoral student in the Nutrition Institute at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville said,</p>

<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;The effect of an increased calcium intake may help reduce body fat. The effect is very significant, much more than we imagined it would be.&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>His paper on the effects of a high-calcium diet in increasing body fat loss was presented at the Experimental Biology 2000 meeting in San Diego. &#8220;The magnitude of the findings was shocking,&#8221; says Michael Zemel, PhD, director of the Nutrition Institute. In past studies, Zemel and colleagues have shown that calcium stored in fat cells plays a crucial role in regulating how fat is stored and broken down by the body. It&#8217;s thought that the more calcium there is in a fat cell, the more fat it will burn.</p>
<h3>Special Study Reveals Calciums Effect on Decreasing Body Fat:</h3>
<p>In a special study on obese mice, those put on a diet and given calcium supplements experienced a 42% decrease in body fat, whereas mice dieting without supplements had only an 8% decrease. They also discovered a way to increase this fat loss by 69.4% by consuming natural forms of calcium found in foods instead of supplements.</p>
<h3>Recommendations:</p>

<p>Men of all ages need about 1,000 &#8211; 1,200 mg per day. The recommended intake is 1,000 mg for women 25 to 50 years of age and for women over 50 who take estrogen. For women 50 or older who are not taking estrogen and for all women over 65, 1,500 mg is recommended.</p>
<p>Eight ounces of milk (or yogurt) contains about 300 mg of calcium. However, some people are lactose intolerant so consuming dairy foods is not an option. In this case, your best bet is to consume green leafy vegetables and legumes to provide your daily allowance of calcium.</p>
<p>Of course, you can also take a calcium pill as this is an option. However, it&#8217;s best to get your calcium from food sources because of their inclusion of other highly beneficial and necessary substances as well.</p>
<h3>Good sources of natural foods that contain high amounts of calcium are:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Sardines &#8211; 3 ounces = 371 mg.</li>
<li>Collard Greens &#8211; 1 cup = 148-357 mg.</li>
<li>Turnip Greens &#8211; 1 cup cooked = 194-249 mg.</li>
<li>Kale &#8211; 1 cup cooked = 94-179 mg.</li>
<li>Chinese Cabbage &#8211; 1 cup cooked = 158 mg.</li>
<li>Shrimp &#8211; 3 ounces = 98 mg.</li>
<li>Brocolli &#8211; 1 cup cooked = 94 mg.</li>
<li>Green Beans &#8211; 1 cup cooked = 67 mg.</li>
<li>Dried beans &#8211; 1 cup cooked = 50-90 mg.</li>
<li>Eggs &#8211; 1 large egg = 30 mg.</li>
</ul>

</span><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: Tahoma;">Now consider  		this: Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are  		the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of  		cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life we live. </span><span style="font-size: 8.5pt; font-family: Tahoma;"><br />
