			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ever been stressed at work with ten million things on your to-do list and your boss walks in and hands you yet another huge project to finish with no set of guidelines whatsoever? Frustrating, isn&#8217;t it? It can also be overwhelming and just downright &#8220;scary&#8221; to take on such a huge project without knowing where to begin. Dozens of questions &#8211; and doubts-run through your mind all at once and you find yourself sitting at your desk with that never-ending to-do list and a seemingly impossible task ahead of you as the minutes tick by.</p>
<p>This is the same feeling many people have when starting a <a title="new weight loss diet" href="http://www.webmd.com/diet/default.htm" target="_blank">new weight loss diet</a>. They know they should lose the weight; they know they NEED to lose the weight but have no idea where or how to begin the new &#8220;project&#8221;. The thing is, this new &#8220;project&#8221; is your health you are talking about. Fitness plays a direct role in quality of life and longevity and it can be a difficult theme for many to face or even talk about. This can be true for many people, even those that are not too much over their ideal weight. Maybe it&#8217;s the guy who put on a few pounds after he got laid off, or the young, single mom who just can&#8217;t seem to get rid of those last 15 pounds of &#8220;baby weight&#8221;. it may seem minimal to some but those &#8220;few extra pounds&#8221; can take a toll on someone&#8217;s self image and in turn, self esteem. And that brings me to my point: YOU are NOT your weight. You can change your life for the better.</p>
<p>Each of us has something great to offer to the world, but for many, those wonderful, special, wonderful qualities get masked by negative feelings caused by being a little-or a lot-overweight. Many people feel self-conscious and have low self-esteem because of issues with weight. A <a title="new weight loss diet" href="http://www.harryjohnsonjr.com/new-weight-loss-diet/easter-and-your-new-weight-loss-diet/" target="_blank">new weight loss diet</a> may be difficult to take on, but may just be the thing a person needs to get a little boost in life. So, to make the road to success a little clearer for you, I wanted to lay out some of the &#8220;ground rules&#8221; for any new weight loss diet. Now this isn&#8217;t a complete list, but enough to get you going.</p>
<p>Rule #1: Make the decision to change. Change your eating habits and change your mindset so that you don&#8217;t feel like you&#8217;re in a &#8220;rut&#8221;. Take</p>

<p>a &#8220;before&#8221; picture of yourself to have a clear image of how you look, physically. Keep the picture nearby as a motivation source to better yourself, along with pictures or quotes that show you where you want to go in terms of weight loss.</p>
<p>Rule #2: Consult with your health care provider and set realistic goals. If you are 20 pounds above your target weight, that may seem like a lot to lose. But, if you break that amount down into say, 2 pounds per week, it seems a whole lot easier to achieve, right? Also, make sure to check in with your doctor about any new weight loss diet program to be sure you are going about weight loss in a manner suitable to your present physical condition. This is especially true if you have any pre-existing heart conditions, diabetes, or are very overweight.</p>
<p>Rule #3: Keep a food and exercise log. I have said this so many times and I will say it again: counting calories is one of the most important things you can do to ensure weight loss success. Why? Because the only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you consume. And the two ways to do that? Well, for one is eliminating unnecessary calories from diet, say from sodas, for example. The second way to decrease calories, is by increasing daily activity. Exercise burns calories and helps increase lean muscle mass which in turn burns fat. if you look at it that way, weight loss is easy to understand.</p>
<p>RUle #4: Don&#8217;t give up and stay focused. Remember you are only human. There are times when you may not feel like exercising or you may slip up on your diet. But don&#8217;t let small detours make you lose the whole journey. So maybe you ate a little more than you should yesterday. Well, maybe today you can make up for it by running a little extra on the treadmill or swimming a few extra laps in the pool.</p>
<p>Rule #5: Reward yourself. That&#8217;s right! You deserve a little incentive here and there for your efforts. Now I don&#8217;t mean treating yourself to</p>

<p>a triple-fudge cheescake the size of Texas-or a double-cheese, extra-large pizza&#8230; What I mean is, give yourself something to look forward to&#8230;Maybe for you ladies a new pair of &#8220;skinny jeans&#8221; are just calling your name, or a trip to a day spa is in order. And for the guys, maybe a new set of golf clubs or a shiny new accessory for your car is well overdue. Plus, I can assure you that you will feel so good about yourself inside and out once you start seeing the results of your efforts-and that is the BEST reward of all.</p>
<p>Choose to change. Do it now-today&#8230; No one said it would be easy, but it&#8217;s not impossible. YOU have the power to determine what kind of life you will live.</p>

<p>How are your New Year&#8217;s Resolutions going?</p>
<p>Forgot about them&#8230; didn&#8217;t ya!</p>
<p>Most of us do. All the best laid plans of mice and men&#8230;</p>
<p>Fortunately, you have me here to remind you about that <a title="New Weight Loss Diet" href="http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/04/080429075337.htm" target="_blank">new weight loss diet</a> you said you were going to start at the New Year.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s what I&#8217;ve found in the past 20 years of being in this fitness game&#8230; <span id="more-495"></span>the only thing that matters is to never quit.</p>
<p>So who cares if you had the greatest plans to make &#8220;this&#8221; year your year for  a new body but you haven&#8217;t made any progress towards that since the beginning of the year. So what if your plans to start that <a title="New Weight Loss Diet" href="http://www.harryjohnsonjr.com/dieting/what-do-motorcycles-fast-weight-loss-tips-have-in-common/" target="_self">new weight loss diet</a> never materialized. <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">What really matters</span></strong> is will you stop trying to get there? Because when you stop trying then that&#8217;s the end.</p>
<p>If you read the above article link I provided, you&#8217;ll see although <strong>most people can initially commit to an exercise and diet program, it&#8217;s the <em>&#8220;sticking to&#8221;</em> the program part that is the hard part</strong>.</p>
<p>I realize this&#8230; heck, even I have suffered letdowns in the past as well.</p>
<p>So I studied why this was so.</p>
<p><strong>I discovered</strong> it&#8217;s our &#8220;mental programming&#8221; that causes us to do whatever it is we do. We form habits, typically from patterns and experiences we learned as a child. Then we&#8217;re locked into those patterns for the rest of our lives. If they&#8217;re negative patterns then we could be stuck in an endless pattern of an unproductive, unfullfilled life.</p>
<p>UNLESS&#8230; you <strong>change your mental programming.</strong></p>
<p><strong>But How?</strong></p>
<p>I&#8217;ve been experimenting with hypnosis for a little while now. Hypnosis, by the way, is now a recognized field of practice by the AMA (American Medical Association). It&#8217;s been used to cure all kinds of neuroses, fears, and bad habits.</p>
<p>I did some research and found a site that is loaded with hypnosis experts in all fields of hynosis. I myself got a program on staying centered and on track for business (I tended to wander and not focus), and it&#8217;s done wonders for me.</p>
<p>I also found a <strong>program for weight loss </strong>that not only gets you in the right mind set <strong>to get the weight off</strong>, but also helps you <strong>KEEP the weight off&#8230; for good</strong>&#8230; once you&#8217;ve lost it.</p>
