<p><em>&#8220;Hey Harry,<br />
Do you know were I could find more recipes that fit your diet?&#8221;</em></p>
<p>Here was my answer&#8230;.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the problem with &#8220;recipes&#8221;, and I&#8217;ll be super honest here&#8230; most of them are not good. What I mean is this, <strong>if you want the real deal information about really getting in shape, you have to eat what the body requires for it do to so</strong>. If you start getting too creative with recipes it&#8217;s almost a sure-fire recipe (pun intended) for disaster.</p>
<p>Recipes tend to make food taste &#8220;too&#8221; good, and if something tastes too good, you&#8217;ll tend to overeat it. It&#8217;s the human condition. WE JUST CANNOT HELP THIS. Example: you portion out your food created with this great-tasting recipe, and after you eat it you think, &#8220;man, that was really, really tasty! I want more!&#8221; So, &#8216;just this time&#8217; you eat more (than you should have). See the problem here?</p>
<p>In order to lose fat for good, save the &#8220;tasty&#8221; food for the days I recommend you eat almost anything you want. You&#8217;ll get plenty of those days too, once every 4 days to start, and then as you get fitter once every 3, or even 2 days once your bodyfat gets much lower.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t worry so much about getting fancy on the days where you are eating the healthy food&#8230; just eat the healthy food. This means meat, and vegetables. I eat the veggies almost raw, by buying frozen vegetables, then when ready to eat them I place them under hot running water and &#8220;heat&#8221; them that way. For the salads, I prepare them exactly as I talk about in the manual you have.</p>
<p>You can get as fancy as you want on the condiments, even going a little higher fat on some of them for your veggies or salads.</p>
<p>For example, for my salad, I&#8217;ll mix up a tablespoon of either olive oil (but usually a tablespoon of Udo&#8217;s Choice blended oil) along with salt, pepper, red pepper, cumin, curry powder, a couple of tablespoons of Greek Yogurt (the high fat kind &#8211; don&#8217;t be afraid here please &#8211; it&#8217;s not fat you have to worry about on the days your carbs are supposed to be low, it&#8217;s the carbs), then mix it all up and toss the salad with this dressing (I even use this dressing on the veggies sometimes).</p>
<p>I personally like a little kick with my dressing and this provides it. But you can get creative yourself and design one that suits you. Let me know if you do as I&#8217;d like to share it with others (that goes with anyone reading this too &#8211; please chime in with your recipes and I&#8217;ll give you a thumbs up or a thumbs down, in my opinion).</p>
<p>Remember, just keep the carbs low and you should be fine.</p>

<p>Because you are doing all the right things for your body your attitude and energy levels should be sky high. At no time should you feel like you are torturing or depriving yourself. <p>On a bright sunny morning the hare came upon the turtle and, seeing him walking so slowly, started to make fun of him. The tortoise replied to the mocking by saying, &#8220;Though you be swift as the wind, I will beat you in a race.&#8221;</p>
<p>At this challenge the hare laughed at the ridiculous assertion that this slow-footed turtle could ever hope to win against him, one who had never lost a race before.</p>
<p>They agreed on a route and started off the race. The hare shot ahead and ran briskly for some time. Then seeing that he was far ahead of the tortoise, he thought he&#8217;d sit under a tree for some time and relax before continuing the race.</p>
<p>He sat under the tree and soon fell asleep. The tortoise, plodding on, overtook him and finished the race. The hare woke up and realized that he had lost the race.</p>
<p>The moral of the story (as if you didn&#8217;t already know):</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>&#8220;Slow and steady wins the race.&#8221;</strong></p>
<p>This famous childrens fable is one of the most powerful messages we can hope to grasp and use if we ever want to accomplish anything.</p>
<p>Why?</p>
<p>Because we&#8217;re programmed to want quick results, do things quickly, get things fast, get quick results, and usually without much effort. We usually quit before we accomplish anything of significance, getting distracted by some other &#8220;shiny object&#8221; and start going down that path, instead of the one we were on, toward our supposed goal.</p>
<p>Eventually ending up nowhere because we&#8217;ve wandered all over tarnation.</p>
<p>Does this sound like you? If not, congratulations, you&#8217;re one of the minority in this world that sets goals, maps out the path to those goals, and continues on through thick and thin until you get to the &#8220;finish line.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>But if you are one of those that has had trouble accomplishing goals (like transforming your body, for one), then follow this 3-step <a title="quick weight loss diet" href="http://stanford.wellsphere.com/wellmix360/quick-weight-loss-diet" target="_blank">quick weight loss diet</a> formula.</strong><span id="more-437"></span></p>

Now, what do you have to do <span style="text-decoration: underline;">EVERY DAY</span> in order to reach your weekly goal? Start with a baseline diet where you <span style="text-decoration: underline;">TRACK ALL OF THE FOODS YOU EAT</span>. This is critically important. <strong>If you don&#8217;t</strong> track <span style="text-decoration: underline;">YOU WILL FAIL</span>. Go to <a title="quick weight loss diet" href="http://www.livestrong.com" target="_blank">www.livestrong.com</a> and sign up for a free account there, then go to the &#8220;Daily Plate&#8221; and start to fill in your foods for the day.</p>
<p>3. <strong>Measure your progress correctly:</strong> The scale is your worst enemy. It can trick you into thinking that no progress is being made when in fact lots of progress is actually happening. Here&#8217;s what I recommend instead:</p>
<ul>
<li>Get a tape measure and measure the circumference of your chest, waist, hips, thighs, upper arms. As you lose fat (not necessarily weight) these measurements will come down.</li>

<p>Both of these above devices will allow you to &#8220;really&#8221; see what&#8217;s going on with your body.</p>
<p>Start with a <a title="quick weight loss diet" href="http://www.harryjohnsonjr.com/dieting/nirvana-meal-for-fast-weight-loss/" target="_self">quick weight loss diet</a> like I&#8217;ve already commented about in previous post. Use that formula to create your meals for the day, then just track it. You&#8217;ll know right away if progress is being made because you&#8217;ll start making progress. If you don&#8217;t, then simply adjust what you&#8217;ve been doing (easy to do since you have been tracking everything) and continue tracking.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll quickly hit the right combination of calories and meals for you to lose weight quickly. This shouldn&#8217;t take longer than 10 days to figure out.</p>

<p>And by the time noon rolled around (my scheduled departure time), it was still raining&#8230;</p>
<p>Oh well, good thing my son was still with me because now we could play the &#8220;monster&#8221; game some more.</p>
<p>As the time started getting closer to 6 pm, and it was still raining, I started to worry. There was no way now I was going to make it up to Daytona Beach before dark on my motorcycle. Thanks goodness for my bright yellow riding suit with lots of reflective patches and the new tires I had gotten the week before. Wait&#8230; the guy at the motorcycle shop said I had to be careful on the tires for the first 100 miles because they could slip easily. And it was still raining&#8230; hmmm&#8230;</p>
<p>7:40 pm was the time I finally left&#8230; yea, almost dark. I did a longer trip a couple of months ago (4+ hours) but still, the thought of the night ride was a little daunting (especially with the rain and new &#8220;slick&#8221; tires).</p>
<p>Off I went, 3 pit stops later, I arrived in Daytona Beach at 11:40 pm. After giving the &#8220;all-safe&#8221; sign to my loved ones back home that I arrived safe, I proceeded to turn on my computer. 4 hours later I went to bed. And 3 hours later I was up for breakfast before my meeting at 9 am.</p>
<p>At breakfast the first dilemma of the day arrived&#8230; the MENU&#8230; What to eat that was healthy. Today was not my &#8220;free-for-all&#8221; day and the menu left just a bit to be desired for a healthy meal. This menu had almost no veggies on it, and only bad carbs (hash browns &#8211; about the worst carbs you can put into your body because of the high fat content &#8211; bad fat at that &#8211; and high carbs &#8211; a combination almost guaranteed to pack on the pounds quicker than you can imagine).</p>
<ul> <strong>What would <em>you </em>do?</strong></ul>
<ul> <strong>Here&#8217;s what I did&#8230;(lesson of the day):</strong><span id="more-392"></span></ul>
<p>First, I chose the healthiest protein source I could find. I settled on an egg omelet with 2 regular eggs and 2 egg whites. This took care of 2 birds with one stone because my fat content was also taken care of as well (remember, we&#8217;re NOT after a low-fat AND low-carb diet here becuse this WILL backfire on you).</p>
<p><em><strong>What about carbs? </strong></em></p>
<p>I asked the waiter to load the omelet with as many vegetable &#8216;things&#8217; as he could find. Green/red/yellow peppers, onions, tomato, carrot slices, spinach, thinly sliced cucumbers, capers, whatever veggie you can think of. HOLD THE CHEESE THOUGH&#8230; unfortunately, cheese is almost all fat, and should never be on anyone&#8217;s diet.</p>
<p>Your <a title="Fast Weight Loss Tips" href="http://www.fattyweightloss.com/weight-loss-fast-and-easy/" target="_blank">Fast Weight Loss Tips</a> -  <span style="text-decoration: underline;">just think about putting these 3 things together with every meal (any meal really):</span></p>
<p>1. Lean meat (beef &#8211; sirloins or rounds are good cuts of meat, chicken breast, fish, shrimp)</p>
<p>2. Fibrous vegetables (brocolli, cauliflower, spinach, hearty salads &#8211; kale/swiss chard)</p>
<p>3. Healthy Fats &#8211; extra virgin olive oil (1 tablespoon)</p>
<p>These <a title="Fast Weight Loss Tips" href="http://www.harryjohnsonjr.com/dieting/fast-weight-loss-challenge-can-eating-junk-food-make-you-lose-weight-quicker/" target="_self">fast weight loss tips</a> are your simple recipe for losing fat and staying healthy.</p>
<p>Remember this clearly&#8230; every single day you are either helping, or harming your body. And it&#8217;s the cumulative effects of what you do every single day that will eventually determine your overall health in your later years.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll finish this post with a final story. I was at the doctor&#8217;s the other day and got into the elevator with a lady that was probably in her 60&#8217;s. She was hobbling pretty badly with a cane. She turned to me and sadly said, &#8220;&#8230;I didn&#8217;t count on spending all of my time at the doctor&#8217;s office during my retirement&#8230; it doesn&#8217;t seem fair&#8230;&#8221;.</p>
<p>This woman was extremely overweight (big clue). I didn&#8217;t have the heart to tell her that she probably caused almost all of the problems she had herself &#8211; by her inactivity and lack of good food choices (every single day) that cumulatively caused her to decline to her present condition.</p>
<p>You see, it&#8217;s not about living a long life at all&#8230; it&#8217;s about living a healthy, vibrant life, pain-free, until the maker decides it&#8217;s time for you to go. Who wants to suffer for decades before you go? I don&#8217;t&#8230; do you?</p>
<p>The choice is in your hands.  And it starts with the very next thing you DECIDE to do (or not do) TODAY!</p>
<p>Start simply by TODAY crafting your meals like the above tip, and starting some kind of exercise program. TOMORROW, do the same thing.</p>
<ul> <strong>THE POINT!</strong> Change the path TODAY you&#8217;ve been on if you&#8217;re not where you want to be.</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ok, you&#8217;ve voiced your opinion. And I heard a resounding &#8220;YES&#8221;. <img src='http://www.harryjohnsonjr.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I was actually hoping for a positive result from you. Ever since I started telling family and friends about this new way of eating, most of them have started on a plan of their own. My cousin-in-law (whom we just visited in upstate NY and Vermont) just called me today. He started his plan last Wednesday and called me this afternoon to tell me that he&#8217;s lost 3.5 lbs in 7 days. He told me today was his second &#8220;high-calorie&#8221; day and had eaten 2 slices of pizza, chocolate, cake, cookies, a whole lot more (he kept rambling on about all the food he had been eating &#8211; was getting a huge kick out of the fact he lost weight and still was able to eat his favorite junk foods). But he had questions about a lot of things I answered for him. He might have floundered&#8230; maybe even failed eventually, if I didn&#8217;t set him on the correct path. No fault of his, he just hadn&#8217;t spent any time studying how the body works most effectively to lose fat and what types of foods will trigger the quickest fat loss.</p>
<p>So, by you saying yes to my video streams (please watch for an email notification &#8211; I have to get it set up &#8211; anyone know anything about Ustream?) I can now help to answer some of the questions you&#8217;re bound to have about a lot of things. Things I haven&#8217;t even considered &#8212; but most likely have the answer to (if I don&#8217;t I&#8217;ll tell you and get you an answer if I can).</p>
<p>So, please look for an email notification today (12/10/08) about when I&#8217;m putting this on. My plan is to have one on Thursday, then another one next Monday. Then, I&#8217;ll put on a couple of teleseminars next week where I&#8217;ll put on a couple of the people I&#8217;ll be starting to personally help starting tomorrow (those of you that have an entry please be checking your email &#8211; I need to get in touch with you after I choose so we can hit the ground running right away). They&#8217;ll be sharing with  you their success after 1 week.</p>
<p>So please start putting together the questions you want answered and I&#8217;ll do my best to get to most of them. Please start by posting your questions here. Once the Ustream Live streaming starts you&#8217;ll be able to ask me live questions, but they&#8217;ll typically zip by too quickly for me to capture them. So I&#8217;ll typically be answering all of the questions from the ones I get here on my blog.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well, I did it! Completed my  transformation and achieved my goal. These photos below were taken my last week. The photos outside were taken in Vermont (it was about 35 degrees outside when I took these photos), and the ones in the bathroom were taken while in California on business but they coincided with my final 49th day.</p>
<p>My final numbers:</p>
<p>Body fat loss = 24 lbs</p>
<p>Lean muscle gain = 19 lbs</p>
<p>Body fat dropped from 16.9% at the start, to as low as 5.0% (has fluctuated from 5 to 6% over the last week).</p>
<p>Funny how when you reach a goal you want &#8220;just a little more&#8221;. Although very happy with my results, I&#8217;m going to try for a little more tightness around my waist, in particular my lower back.</p>
<p>Anyway, here are the photos.</p>
<p>And, due to a technical hitch (my web programmer didn&#8217;t come through for me), I&#8217;m going to have to delay the launch of my Body Maps until next week. Planned date is now Dec 18th.</p>
<p>However&#8230;</p>
